3 day weekend = Eat. Swim. Drink. Laugh. Repeat.

My sister and her family will be coming up to San Francisco for the July 4th weekend. Elli is super excited to see her cousins. The entire weekend will consist of about 4 things.

1. Eating

2. Swimming

3. Drinking Wine

4. Laughing

All four things will be repeated multiple times. It's going to be lots of fun.

In preparation for their arrival I tested out a bottle of wine a few nights ago to see if my sister would like it. I should have probably been cleaning. But yuck. What fun is that? I'll save that job for tonight. They won't get here until 10pm.

I don't think Kathy will like this wine, it's too tart for her. But I already knew that. It's a Sauvignon Blanc and she's a sweet wine kind of gal - viognier, riesling, gewurtraminer, etc. Oh well, I guess I'll have to drink this one all by myself.

2009 Aresti Sauvignon Blanc, Chile
I would describe the wine as very fruity and slighty tart, with flavors of grapefruit. Very refreshing. Perfect for a hot summer evening. Would pair well with fish topped with a fruit salsa.

Oh, check out this photo. How cute is Elli in this bikini? Her friend Lou Lou (pictured here) gave it to her because it's too small for her. What stylin' babes they are, huh?
